Yellowstone viewers have been awaiting Hassie Harrison’s return to the Paramount Network drama, but fans of the actress know her for a different role. The actress, who appears as Laramie on Yellowstone, also stars on the TruTV comedy Tacoma FD.
Hassie has portrayed Lucy McConky on all four seasons of Tacoma FD, a sitcom based in a Tacoma, Washington, fire station. But the actress recently revealed that the series would not be returning for a fifth season.
She shared the news on Instagram with a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the show. Hassie wrote, “Sad news guys. Tacoma FD didn’t get picked up for a 5th season. I’m pretty gutted. This was a dream job for me. I could have played Lucy forever. Getting to be goofy and bring laughs into people’s homes was the honor of a lifetime. Something I’ll forever cherish and hope I get to do again someday.”
The 34-year-old actress continued to thank the people who brought the show to life. She wrote, “Shout out to the fine gentlemen who I was so lucky to work with on this and now love like family. And of course, thanks to everyone who watched and supported the show. It’s thanks to y’all that we got to make 4 great seasons…which are still available on Netflix for your enjoyment. Bye, Lucy. I’ll miss you.”

Fans hit the comments section to express their disappointment in the news and suggest a reboot on another network or streaming service. They left messages like, “That just sucks. This show was so well written in a time when we could all use a little more laughs. I hope another outlet picks it up” and “I’m so sad. I love your character. You weren’t a one-dimensional stereotype.”
Ryan Bingham, Hassie’s Yellowstone co-star and real-life love, wrote, “So damn proud of you Hassie girl. Can’t wait for what’s coming next!”
Hopefully we’ll see Hassie again when Yellowstone returns in the fall.
