Stassi Schroeder revealed when producers got “mad” at Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney on her infamous birthday trip to Las Vegas because of something that happened “off camera.” The alum shared why she was a “victim” that weekend, and she also claimed she slept in Peter Madrigal’s hotel room.
At the time, Stassi’s then-boyfriend Frank had just shared that her ex-boyfriend Jax Taylor cheated on her when they were still together. Jax denied it (before later confessing), and the Vanderpump Rules cast decided to take his side and believe him.
Speaking on her Stassi podcast, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram, the alum revealed a time when producers got “mad” during her birthday trip to Las Vegas.
According to Stassi, Katie and Kristen filmed a scene where they bought Stassi a dress for her birthday. But the women later got mad that Stassi brought Frank on the trip, so they threw the dress at her “off camera.”
“And production was so mad at them,” said Stassi, who claimed the cast “didn’t understand” how filming worked back then. “They didn’t realize that they were supposed to wait and give me that dress on camera, because they had filmed a scene picking the dress out.”
Because of this, they couldn’t “air” the part that was actually filmed. Cast members then learned they have to “run every single thing” by producers to make sure there isn’t “a scene filmed prior.”
Looking back on the birthday trip, she views herself as a “victim” because “they let” her cheating ex-boyfriend Jax crash her birthday, and they let Tom Schwartz “pour a beer on me.” Then “everyone left” her to hang out with Jax, yet she was viewed as the “villain that season.”
Stassi said one day she’ll show her daughter the episode and teach her that “we don’t accept this behavior from people.”
She also shared that her then-boyfriend Frank was kicked out of filming that weekend, and he was therefore forced to leave the hotel room he and Stassi were sharing. Later that night, because Stassi didn’t want to be alone, she slept in Peter’s hotel room on one of the twin beds.
At some point, after all her friends left, Stassi asked a producer who they thought Stassi should “believe” – her cheating ex Jax, or her new boyfriend Frank. She claimed the producer told her to believe Jax.
“[But] I know when someone’s lying,” said Stassi, who claimed she respectfully disagreed with the producer at the time.
