Yellowstone Monica Dies

The hardships Kayce’s faced in Yellowstone Season 4 kept us on the edge of our seats. Monica is assaulted by a masked man who was shot by Tate in order to save his mother in the 4th season. Kayce was also hurt while attempting to help his wife. Thankfully, the assailant was unable to physically harm her, and she did not die in the fourth season. Everyone was eventually rescued, but they were all shaken by the incident, especially Tate.

Monica’s absence in the season finale got us worried about her future on the show, but she reappeared at the very end. Kayce’s visions on the cliff and his words to Monica, however, were cliffhangers over the couple’s future.

Yellowstone Monica and Kayce

Monica’s attack on the Dutton Ranch in season 4 strained her and Kayce’s relationship because the ranch wasn’t the greatest place for them to live. As a result, the couple had to leave the ranch with their son, forcing Kayce to remain in between his wife and family.

Their relationship experienced numerous hurdles in the 4th season, just as they had in the previous seasons. However, we believe the assault on Monica caused Kayce to consider what kind of life and relationship he wants to keep. We realize that he was concerned about their future when he had visions and told her what he saw.

Importance of Monica Dutton in Yellowstone

Well, we think that Monica Dutton is the most important character and the key figure in Yellowstone. She holds a special position in Yellowstone because, as a woman and a Native American, she shows a strong woman character who is able to overcome all of the hardships she faces during the show. She also reflects the Native American perspective by giving American History lectures at the university.

On the other hand, she is married to a white man! She, in a sense, creates a connection between the reservation and the Dutton Ranch. The tension in her marriage to Kayce is a metaphor for the clash between the Duttons and the natives. With all of the characteristics her character possesses, it’s possible to claim that Monica has a significant influence on Yellowstone.
