Matthew McConaughey has a big announcement (and this time, it’s not about Yellowstone).
In mid-April, fans were thrilled to learn about the actor’s plans to publish a picture book called Just Because. But ahead of the literary title’s September 12 release, Matthew shared major news. He went on Instagram to reveal that he will be heading out on a national book tour from September 9 through September 16.
“Heading to a bookstore near you,” he wrote on July 27. “Why? #JustBecauseBook.”
When folks learned Matthew would be mingling with his fans in a unique way before working on the Yellowstone spin-off, they immediately rushed to the comments to voice their support.
“So excited for this!!” one person wrote on Instagram. “Loved Greenlights! Can’t wait for this to come out,” another chimed in, referencing his best-selling 2020 memoir. “I’ll be looking for it!!!” a different follower rejoiced.
The Dallas Buyers Club star isn’t the only one thrilled about his upcoming project. In a video posted on his wife Camila Alves’ Instagram, she made sure to let her fanbase know about the book tour.
“Just because you’re here with us, you’ll check out the tour dates,” she said in the clip posted on August 1. “To all the moms, the sisters, the teachers, the educators, all of you … my husband — that writer, right there — will be in a city near you.”
What’s more, Camila prompted Matthew to discuss how he came up with the concept for Just Because.
“I woke up 2:30 in the morning and had this ditty in my head,” Matt revealed. “[I] went and wrote it down. Two hours later, I looked at it and was like, ‘Oh, that’s pretty good.’ I got up the next day to see if what I thought was pretty good at 2:30 in the morning was still pretty good. And I was like, ‘It’s still pretty good.'”
There you have it!
