It’s been a difficult year for Yellowstone star Kevin Costner, and he’s taking to Instagram to thank his fans for their support during the trying time.

The first half of Yellowstone’s fifth season ended in January, and the hiatus has been filled with rumors and drama about the show’s future and Kevin’s involvement in it. According to Deadline, the actor only wanted to spend a week filming the second half of season five, which returns in November. The network could not come to an agreement with its show’s biggest star, so Paramount finally ended the speculation by announcing that the show would be ending its historic run after the current season. On top of that, Kevin’s wife of 18 years filed for divorce.

Kevin shared a photo from A Perfect World, his 1993 movie co-starring Clint Eastwood and Laura Dern. He wrote, “I love reflecting on this long and wild career. Thank you guys for coming along for the ride.”

Fans flooded the star with comments, leaving messages of support and chiming in about their favorite movies from the Oscar-winning actor and director.

The 68-year-old actor is now hard at work on the project that reportedly took him away from Yellowstone: another Western series, Horizon. Glynn Turman, Kathleen Quinlan, and Giovanni Ribisi are set to star in the four-film Civil War franchise that Kevin has been planning since 1998. He is starring in the movies, writing, directing, and producing, and, according to Deadline, he also put up his own money to finance the project.

We’re not ready for Yellowstone to end, but we’re definitely looking forward to the next stage in Kevin’s storied career.
