Jax Taylor clapped back at his former boss Lisa Vanderpump for claiming James Kennedy and Stassi Schroeder are the most interesting reality stars she’s ever worked with – and shared what Lisa once told him.
Jax, who’s now on The Valley but once starred with Jax, Lisa, and Stassi on Vanderpump Rules, also addressed his past mugshot in Hawaii – after stealing expensive sunglasses. He and his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, shared more details about the bizarre story.
On his “When Reality Hits” podcast, via @bravosnarkside on Instagram, Jax reacted to Lisa’s claim about James and Stassi, which she made in a recent podcast interview.
“Really? I’m a little upset because [Lisa] used to tell me that I was the most interesting,” said Jax. “She’s like, ‘You are reality TV gold.’ I’m a little taken aback but I’m also not surprised. Lisa just kinda – she’s Lisa.”
“I’m a little taken aback because we’ve had some kind of one-on-ones but I think … she has to say certain things,” he went on. “I feel like deep down I’m her favorite. I will always be the number one guy in the group.”
He said he doesn’t understand the idea that James and Stassi are “interesting,” as they’re just “normal people.”
“I don’t think they’ve done anything to say why they’re interesting,” he added. “Why are they? Give me examples … I’m butt-hurt.”

He then addressed his Hawaii mugshot, and shared more details behind the story.
“My TMZ mugshot was not that good,” he said, via @breakingtherulespod on Instagram.
Brittany explained that the arrest took place on a cast trip when production allowed cast members to stay a few extra days after filming.
“And now that is not allowed anymore because of this Hawaii trip,” she said. “Like if we do a group trip, we have to come straight home because of what Jax did.”
She said the sunglasses that Jax gifted her – during a booze cruise – was the first brand-name thing she’d ever gotten. But then officers later handcuffed him as she had “no idea what was going on.”
“That was the most terrifying thing. I had no idea what was happening,” she added. “Jax looks at me and turns around as he’s being walked out by the freaking police officers and says, ‘Don’t tell anybody.’”
Jax claimed he had a “severe diva mentality” at the time, and he felt he “could never do no wrong.”
At the time, he went to an ATM to get cash to pay for the sunglasses, but the line was so long – and the booze cruise was leaving in 10 minutes – so he decided just to take them.
Brittany was upset Jax let her take a selfie with the shades and send it to her mom. After TMZ picked up the story, “everyone” started calling Brittany, but Jax told her not to tell anyone.
