LOVE Island fans are convinced producers stepped in before Konnor Ewudzi and Mimii Ngulube’s date last night.
ITV2 viewers watched in confusion as Mimii, 24, was picked by bombshell Konnor, 28, as one of his dinner companions in the villa.
But it soon became apparent to audiences that the twosome had little chemistry, with some claiming showrunners ‘set up’ his pairings.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: “It’s so obvious konnor is not attracted to Mimi, like the eye contact was werid. Looks uncomfortable. I can tell the producers told him to pick her.”
Another added: “We already knew Mimii isn’t Konnor type please what’s going on with casting???”
Someone else agreed: “Mimii don’t like Konnor and Konnor don’t like Mimii, this was a waste the producers failed once again.”
A fourth chimed in one: “Konnor’s last two gf’s were blonde and brunette? He chose Mimii as a disguise.”
One more joked: “Mimii gave Konnor the HR goodbye.”
The mental health nurse previously went on a date with Ayo, with the pair treated to a lavish boat trip.
Ayo even took t he lead as he steered the vessel through the crystal-clear waters of a Mallorca dock.
Just three days earlier, Ayo confirmed his full focus was on her.
The Canning Town lad told how his connection with bombshell bombshell Uma was “dead now.”
He was getting to know Mimii until Uma entered the villa, before Uma stole Ayo from Mimii during her first re-coupling.
Yet when Mimii took him back, the pair went from strength to strength.
In a candid interview on spin-off show Aftersun, Ayo revealed his true feelings.
Host Maya Jama asked him: “Are feelings for that wrapped up in a box now?,” before he responded, “I wouldn’t say wrapped up, I guess it’s just dead now, in the sense of, she’s left the situation.
“I wanted to know her a bit more, but I guess that’s just a dead line for now.”
Previously, fans suggested they should send a “search party” out for Mimii due to her apparent lack of air time last week.
