It’s not just Paul Hollywood’s icy blue eyes that have left fans of Great British Bake Off swooning this season – as a handsome contestant has been compared to a Disney Prince.

Dylan Bachelet, 20, has caused a stir online, with viewers likening the aspiring chef to Pirates of the Caribbean’s character Will Turner, who was played by the dashing Orlando Bloom, and suggesting he belongs in a romantic animated movie.

Thanks to his long hair, piercing eyes, silver hoop earrings and goatee, the talented contestant has become an instant hit with fans.

His bold style – which includes the occasional bandanna, a patterned jumper vest and a navy bakerboy cap – is equally attracting attention and helping him stand out from the crowd.

One impressed viewer wrote on X: ‘Both me and my husband have agreed that – objectively of course, observing the sanctity of our marriage at all times – Dylan is absolutely incredibly beautiful as a human man.’

Another said: ‘The casting for #GBBO this year has been sensational, real life Disney prince Dylan?… Eugh, obsessed with them all.’

A third added: ‘Dylan’s whole aesthetic this week… clothes, hair, desserts… I need that man #GBBO.’

A fourth wrote: ‘Dylan in this year’s @BritishBakeOff is a real life Will Turner,’ whle another person penned: ‘Are we all in agreement that Dylan is getting hotter every week?’

A sixth enthusiastic individual wrote online: ‘I think I’m a little bit (a lot) in love with Dylan #GBBO.’

Currently working as a retail temp, Dylan recently returned from his gap year trip travelling around Southeast Asia and came back keen for a new challenge.

With an Indian mother and Japanese-Belgian father, Dylan’s bakes have a wide spectrum of inspiration and he is also fond of the work of French pâtissérie chefs.

Recalling the moment he found out he’d be entering the tent, Dylan said: ‘I was in the car with my mum, we were driving to my grandma’s to celebrate her birthday.

‘I was happy, I didn’t really register it, my mum was super happy, the crew could hear her cry out.’

But it’s not only Dylan’s style that has impressed fans – after viewers hailed fellow contestant Nelly as ‘the biggest icon the tent has ever seen’ as the latest episode aired on Tuesday night.

The palliative care assistant, 44, from Dorset, donned a black beret to bring some French vibes to pastry week.

Viewers called her an icon for the look and branded her a ‘queen of style’ as she baked up a storm while wearing the statement hat.

Fans penned on X: ‘This Bake Off Queen needs to be protected at all costs…. Our Nelly is a legend what a absolute sweetheart!!’, while another added: ‘Just when you think Nelly can’t get any better, she puts a beret on. #GBBO.’

‘Nelly is the most iconic baker the tent has ever seen I fear hahaha Lol #GBBO #BakeOff,’ a third added. ‘Can we get Nelly her own TV show ? #bakeoff’, wrote someone else.

Others added: ‘Nelly the queen of style #GBBO #BakeOff #GreatBritishBakeOff.’, ‘Here for the style icon that is Nelly #GBBO #BakeOff.’ and ‘Nelly walking in like an absolute diva #GBBO #BakeOff.’

Alongside her busy job in night-time palliative care, Nelly is a devoted mother to two young boys, who, with her husband Farhan, are the biggest fans of her bakes.

Talented Nelly grew up with her father in Slovakia, then moved to Austria to study nursing.

Elsewhere on the episode, contestant Andy was the latest baker to be eliminated from the Channel 4 programme.

The car mechanic, 44, from Essex, suffered every baker’s worst nightmare when his Showstopper completely collapsed just before he had to show it to judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

During a tough Pastry Week the remaining bakers were asked to make a Paris-Brest from choux pastry which they had to stand on a tower.

But Andy’s tower made from sugar shattered all over the floor when he was assembling his finished product.

When deciding who to send home Prue and Paul admitted that he’d ‘just had a bad week’.

After he was sent home Andy said: ‘I’m sad, I’ve had a fantastic time and I’ve had so many laughs – but the standard is so high!’

Meanwhile Star Baker was awarded to Gill who impressed with her lemon and thyme meringue Paris-Brest.

Paul even gave her a round of applause after he tasted it and she looked delighted by their reaction. It came after last week Mike was eliminated from the competition.
