Demi Moore’S New Project Allegedly Made Kevin Costner Cut Ties After Years Of Friendship

Demi Moore is gearing up for a new high-profile project, but while it may be a huge career (and net worth) boost for the actress, it’s also apparently cost her friendship with Kevin Costner. Moore is reportedly set to headline Taylor Sheridan’s Landman, much to the disappointment of Costner, who Demi has been friends with since their auditions for 1982’s Flashdance.

Kevin Warned Demi Not To Work With A ‘Yellowstone’ Producer

Speaking to National Enquirer, a source claimed that Kevin advised against Moore’s collaboration with Sheridan, only for her to proceed with the role opposite Billy Bob Thornton, which has apparently offended Costner.

Kevin’s rift with Sheridan, who’s the producer behind Costner’s hit show Yellowstone, has been publicly known since Costner expressed dissatisfaction with the story arc of his character, John Dutton. The 69-year-old subsequently exited the show during the filming of its fifth season after being informed of a potential pay reduction in the sixth, news that shocked fans across the world last year.

An insider now reveals that Costner’s relationship with Moore may be irreparably strained as a result of her decision to work with Sheridan despite the bad blood between him and Kevin.

“He told Demi that Taylor will court you but once he has you under his control, it’s game over,” an insider told the publication. “You’re just another actor who can be replaced.”

“Demi respects Kevin’s opinion,” they continued. “But she doesn’t get big film offers any longer. Demi figures if she’s going to be doing TV, she might as well be working with the hottest producer around!”

Demi And Kevin Refuse To Acknowledge The Rumors

For now, neither Demi nor Kevin have responded to allegations of a rift in their friendship. But both actors have enough to focus on in their personal lives. Demi’s family is currently dealing with Bruce Willis’ dementia diagnosis.

Bruce and Demi were married from 1987 to 2000. During their marriage, they welcomed three daughters: Rumer, born in 1988, Scout, born in 1991, and Tallulah, born in 1994. Bruce Willis is currently married to Emma Heming, whom he wed in 2009, and they share two daughters.

Several years ago, the family released a joint statement announcing that Willis has been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition linked to a form of dementia. This diagnosis has led to significant shifts in his career and personal life, as he announced his retirement from acting, though reports say his entire family (including his ex-wife and current wife) have banded together to support him during the health crisis.

Costner has also gone through a lot in his personal life, as he just settled his divorce from Christine Baumgartner, nearly a year after she filed following almost 20 years of marriage.

A court decided Kevin will pay Christine a little over $60,000 in monthly child support for their three kids, a figure that’s much less than Christine was expecting. She attempted unsuccessfully to secure a higher divorce settlement and child support deal despite having a prenup in place.
