Clint Eastwood has had quite a career as both an actor and director. At 93, he’s not slowing down. What was his highest-grossing film?

Note that Eastwood will have a new film, “Cry Macho,” premiering in theaters on Friday, Sept. 17. We can tell you that these five flicks have the “Dirty Harry” character’s flavor on them all.

5. The Bridges of Madison County
This 1995 film saw Eastwood don acting, producing, and directing hats.
Wearing all three worked out well for him. He and co-star Meryl Streep play out the 1992 novel written by Robert James Waller. This romantic drama sees Clint Eastwood play a National Geographic photographer who meets an Iowa farmer’s wife.
Streep received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her performance.
“The Bridges of Madison County” grossed $182 million.
4. Million Dollar Baby
If you thought Clint Eastwood couldn’t handle any more roles, then think again.
He dipped into his musical side as he was director, producer, musician, and actor in this 2004 drama. The film is focused on Hilary Swank’s character of Margaret “Maggie” Fitzgerald. She is an amateur boxer who is an underdog in the squared circle.
This film won Oscars for Eastwood in Best Picture and Best Director. Swank won for Best Actress while Morgan Freeman won the Best Supporting Actor award.
“Million Dollar Baby” grossed $217 million.
3. Sully
Clint Eastwood produced and directed this 2016 film. It’s based on the real-life story of pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, played by Tom Hanks.
“Sully” helped land a jet on the Hudson River in New York. He performed a heroic act.
“Sully” grossed $239 million.
2. Gran Torino
Once again, Eastwood acted, produced, and directed a film.
This 2006 film features Eastwood as Walt Kowalski, a Korean War veteran. He’s the ultimate “get off my yard” old dude. Kowalski works to reform his teenage neighbor after he tried stealing the old man’s 1972 Gran Torino.
“Gran Torino” grossed $270 million.
1. American Sniper
This 2014 film finds Clint Eastwood as director and producer.
It’s loosely based on the book about the life of Navy S.E.A.L. sniper Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper). Kyle was a battlefield legend because of his accuracy in shooting. Going back home to the United States left him struggling after leaving the war.
“American Sniper” grossed a whopping $547 million.
