Below Deck Mediterranean: How Chef Johnathan Shillingford Fits His Zodiac Sign

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9’s Chef Johnathan Shillingford has been an issue throughout the earliest charters of the season, but it all makes more sense when looking into his zodiac sign. Chef Johnathan has been working hard aboard Mustique as he’s tried to create innovative dishes for the charter guests, but his time aboard the superyacht hasn’t been the best. Despite knowing that his skillset fits with what is needed aboard Mustique, he hasn’t been able to prove that he’s capable of adapting to each of the charter guests needs. Cher Jono has struggled on Below Deck Med season 9.

Though Jono hoped he’d be able to provide the best possible service aboard Mustique, he’s been having a hard time meeting the needs of each charter guest. During the first charter, Johnathan had issues with what was available to him from the provisioner. Unable to serve some of the charter guests’ preferred foods because they weren’t on hand, Johnathan was able to work around the lack of ingredients. Throughout the second charter, Johnathan’s performance was worse and the provisions couldn’t take the blame. Though he’s had a hard time throughout the charter season, Jono’s zodiac sign could help explain his behavior.

Chef Johnathan Is A Sensitive Cancer

Johnathan’s birthday falls on July 7, making him a Cancer sun. While the rest of Johnathan’s birth chart would provide more insight on his behavior and reactions to others, knowing his sun sign is helpful to understanding the core of who he is. The sun sign, which is the sign that people typically know off hand, represents the core of a person’s personality. Cancers are water signs, which makes them a bit more in touch with their emotions than the rest of the zodiac. Sensitive to criticism, Johnathan exemplifies the typical Cancer in his actions aboard Mustique.

Chef Johnathan Is Goofy In The Kitchen

While Cancers can be incredibly sensitive, they also tend to have sense of humor and know how to make others laugh. Entertaining by nature, Cancers are some of the most interesting signs in the zodiac. Empathetic and understanding, Johnathan has shown that he’s able to have a good time in the most difficult of situations. Despite struggling through the first charters of the season, Jono has been able to keep his wits about him and bring others to tears laughing through their difficult work. He may not be doing the best as a chef, but he’s keeping the crew laughing.

Chef Johnathan Has A Lot Of Love For Captain Sandy

While Johnathan has struggled with a few crew members aboard Mustique, like Stew Elena Dubaich who tried to wake him up during the first charter of the season for help, he has a great a relationship with Captain Sandy Yawn. Captain Sandy is difficult to keep up with for some, but has been able to work well with Jono in the short time they’ve been aboard Mustique together. Despite knowing that Jono may not perform well moving forward, she’s been positive for the Below Deck Mediterranean chef, and he has a lot of love for her.
