Yellowstone’S Cole Hauser Is Actually Hollywood Royalty With A Surprising Famous Legacy

Cole Hauser, known for his role as Rip Wheeler in Yellowstone, portrays a character with a tumultuous past, quite different from his own brighter real-life background.

In Yellowstone, Rip endures witnessing his father murder his family and eventually retaliates by killing his father, leaving him a lone fugitive.

John Dutton (Kevin Costner) eventually takes him in and he becomes his right-hand-man and eventually marries his daughter Beth (Kelly Reilly).

Contrasting this dark narrative, Cole’s personal life is steeped in Hollywood legacy.

He’s the maternal great-grandson of Harry Warner, a key founder of Warner Bros.

This connection makes Cole not just a talented actor but also a member of one of the entertainment industry’s most influential families.

Cole’s Hollywood lineage is not just a tale of one side of his family tree. His mother, Cass Warner, established the film production company Warner Sisters.

Adding to this, her father, Milton Sperling, made his mark as a screenwriter and producer in Hollywood.

This means that Cole’s maternal lineage is deeply embedded in the entertainment industry, and that’s only half of the story.

Cole’s dad, Wings Cole, has a notable acting career with roles in several T.V. favorites like The A-Team, Roseanne, JAG, House, Bones, Criminal Minds, and Magnum P.I.

He also appeared in The Young & The Restless and Walker, Texas Ranger.

On his father’s side, Cole’s grandfather, Dwight Cole, was an Academy Award-winning screenwriter.

The showbiz lineage even reaches Cole’s personal life, with his wife, Cynthia Daniel, also hailing from a Hollywood background.

Cole’s wife, a former model and actress, gained fame as Elizabeth Wakefield in Sweet Valley High. The duo tied the knot in 2006 and have three kids together.

While Cole may have caught the spotlight with Yellowstone, he’s no stranger to acting. His first significant role was at age 16 in Frame-Up II: The Cover-Up alongside his dad.

He’s since appeared in films like Dazed and Confused, Good Will Hunting, and White Oleander, maintaining a consistent presence in movies and TV for over thirty years.
