Clint Eastwood is not only a versatile actor but also one of the greatest filmmakers in the Western genre of movies. Wildfires Could Not Stop Clint Eastwood To Shoot His Film
Clint Eastwood appeared in an episode of The Ellen Show, where he talked about how a wildfire could not stop him from getting to work. The host had earlier stated how a, “really bad fire that came really close to the lot,” and the air quality was so bad that “everyone evacuated.”
But not the filmmaker, he explained that he was heading to his office when he saw smoke coming from the direction of the Warner Bros. lot. And he headed in that direction, in an attempt to “retrieve something,” but it was the hill behind it.
“I was coming back down to do some work at a sound stage and I saw all this smoke going,’ the screen legend said, adding he noticed the smoke plumes emanated from the Warner Bros. And I’m getting closer and closer and it Warner Bros. and its smoke and I got almost up there and I thought, the whole studio’s burning down, maybe I’ll go in and see if I can retrieve something.”

The American Sniper director continued that they forgot about it and the lives of the crew were at risk because the fire came extremely close to the studio.
“So we went on the sound stage and started working and we forgot about it and … everybody said, ‘The studio’s been evacuated!’ And I said, ‘We’re not evacuated, we’re here working!’”
Though it was reckless on the part of Eastwood, it was not the first time he made a headline for one reason or another. The actor/filmmaker is 93 years old but he is still an essential part of Hollywood, and he shares what keeps him going at this age.
Clint Eastwood’s Ideology on Retirement
While a lot of actors and filmmakers tend to announce their retirement when they reach their 90s. But, Eastwood has a different ideology on retirement, and he shared it during an exclusive interview with People when he was asked about the things that have changed in the movie industry.
“I never think about it. If I’m not the same guy, I don’t want to know anything about it. I might not like the new guy. I might think, ‘What am I doing with this idiot?’”
The Gran Torino director added that he gives roles to different actors because he does not want to live his life with ‘what ifs.’
“I have nothing against other directors, but I might have a whole different take on things and I don’t want to be thinking, ‘Why did I give it to him?’“
Though he is seen as a conservative man with stereotypical beliefs values and beliefs, his take on retirement and regrets is something that can act as a great driving force.
